Many anglers launch boats at Fawcett on Hwy 44 and drift down to Athabasca River. Upper river paralleled and crossed several times by Hwy 40 in Fairfax Lake area South of Edson. Lower river accessible almost anywhere between Drayton Valley and the Athabasca River.
Notes
Fishing best in fall when the river is low and clean, but big walleye are taken all summer.
Some good walleye in Evansburg-Entwistle area.
